No broadcast interface is required.
Torque Converter
The buzz-word often associated with 2 D Code Reading is Traceability.
The system is used to ensure two things; first that the quality of the etching meets the AIM Standard and secondly it reads the code to insure that the correct torque converter is installed into the appropriate transmission.
The camera reads the code and transmits it an EMS station where it is compared to the information read off the transmission carrier’s RF tag.
Brake Caliper
The system is used to verify that the brake caliper installed matches the plant build schedule.
The caliber types are different colors, black and gold.
The system uses a standard mono camera and histogram tool to measure the grey level of the caliper imaged.
Lighting is foreground high frequency florescent.
Catalytic Converter
This system is used to verify that the catalytic converter installed on the vehicle matches the plant build schedule.
The different converters types have unique labels.

Rear Hub
The vision verifies the correct style hub, 2WD vs. 4WD, is on the vehicle. Style select is provided by the plant broadcast.
Disc vs. Drum verification feature added before install.
Unexpected bonus – the system catches missing hub nuts.
